sinclair's Review
I visited McHale’s around 23:45 on a Saturday night. McHale’s is basically a dive bar with strippers that takes up two small storefronts in downtown Corning. There was no cover charge to enter and parking was free along the street. The bar is an island in the middle of the room. The stage is on the center of the back wall. It is about three feet off of the ground with a spinning pole. Two long tables were set at the front of the stage to serve as a makeshift runway for dancers to step down and interact with the crowd. There is a dart board near the door. Music is played off of a smartphone hooked up to the sound system.
Sincweisers were $5, served in twelve ounce bottles. All domestic beers were $5, and all import beers were $6. There is draft Coors Light for $3 a glass, but the keg was empty. You have to walk out to the sidewalk to smoke.
There was only one dancer working Saturday night, which was quite disappointing. She looked to be either mixed or Native American. She had black hair, brown eyes, and saggy B cups. Her thighs and abdomen exhibited stretch marks and loose skin. She looked to be in her early thirties. The dancer kept wanting to play hardcore rap, but the bartender wouldn’t let her because it wouldn’t have jived with the clientele. The bartender convinced her to play older rap and R&B, so as to not turn off the crowd. During stage performances, patrons were permitted to touch the dancer and receive boobs to the face.
