Tuesday Playhouse

Not much that hasn’t been said about the Playhouse. Easy to find the Pink building while driving along rt 130. Pulled into the ample parking lot…always plenty of spaces available. Head inside and eyes take a moment to adjust to the darkness. Large rectangular bar with the stage in the middle.

Took a seat at the bar and paid my $10 cover, and got my bottle of water. Place is BYOB. Not much ever changes here…I’ve been coming for 15 years or so on and off, and many of the same dancers who seemed old when I first came here are still here dancing…though to be fair, they’ve held up pretty well.

No Devon or Tatianna or any of the sisters around when I got there…things were looking pretty dim. Maaaaaaaan, I didn’t want to take that dance from Cayenne, but with options looking thin and being on a time crunch I did just that. She’s old…no way around that, though does keep herself in fabulous shape.

Headed back for a dance and Cayenne gets right to work. 2 standard playhouse dances and I’m outta there. Handed over 4 20s which covered the dances and a small tip and I was out the door.

Probably my quickest playhouse visit in years but took the edge off. I always tell myself that was the last time…but…I’m sure I’ll be back after enough time passes and I forget how sad this place is.
