Updated review of Thee Dollhouse
I had an extended visit to Tampa recently and was staying across the street from Thee Dollhouse. I checked this site and saw it had not been reviewed in quite some time. I read some of the old reviews and decided to walk across the street to check it out. I would end up visiting this club a few times during my Tampa visit, so this review actually encompasses multiple nights. Given the number of nights I went to Thee Dollhouse and the number of customers I saw in the club, I concluded that these other customers are either not on this site and/or they just don’t want to contribute reviews of this club that would bring in other TUSCL members. I say this because it’s a good club and it’s well run by an industry veteran. Too many customers have walked through the front door of this club over the last two years for there not to be more recent reviews….so here is your first update and it’s going to be brutally honest. To the Tampa locals, please don’t take offense. Yes, I know how some get upset when they read something they don’t like or disagree with. It’s only my opinion.
First, I didn’t park, but valet parking is $5 and they offer vip parking for $10. I would assume that vip is parking is in front of the building. The cover as I recall was $15. As I entered the club I immediately noticed that it was decorated for Christmas. The Christmas decorations to me were almost too much. The owner must love Christmas because the decorations were everywhere and all of the dancers, waitresses, and bartenders were in Christmas outfits. I was told it was mandatory all throughout the Christmas season. The outfits were cute and better than what a lot of dancers pick out to wear, but I prefer sexy stripper outfits. And yes, the dj actually played Christmas music at points during the night.
The actual layout of this club it a little unique compared to clubs that I normally visit. As you enter, there are two raised platforms to the left of the stage of what they call vip seating. This is where customers that order bottle service sit. Depending on your location, minimums are $600 or $1000. To the right of the stage is another raised platform for more vip bottle service. What is different compared to the clubs I visit is that vip bottle service usually offers the customer privacy. Most vip customers and groups where I normally go want privacy with the dancers of their choice if they are getting bottle service. This club’s vip area is wide open near the stage with absolutely no privacy. I was told that there were some kind of screens at one point, but those were recently taken down. The vip seating was not full on the nights I visited, but they were consistently busy most nights with small groups and those groups were made up of a large number of women.
