Afternoons are for ignoring

So, I have never had this experience before, here or elsewhere. I arrived mid-afternoon and the parking lot was relatively busy. I went inside and sat down at one of the tables between the bar and the stage - there was one girl on stage, but she wasn't giving it her all, to be sure. Looking around there were a few girls with guys at other tables, and four at the bar.

Though the place wasn't crazy busy, 30 minutes later I hadn't seen a server, and not a single girl moved from her place at a table or the bar. I got up and walked around, looking for any signs that I wasn't invisible, and when I found none, I left.

I get not having people jump up and greet me right away, but if they want my patronage, they should at least have acknowledged I was there.
