Cruisin’ Chubbys lives up to it's reputation

My wife and I headed for Cruisin’ Chubbys Saturday night to take a calendar I had made from a photo shoot to a girl who was dancing there. It’s only 60 miles from our home, but we never go there because of it’s poor reputation and the experiences I had there the only other time I ever visited which was about 20 years ago.

Anyway, we arrived about 7:30, 30 minutes after they opened. We walked in and I wasn’t expecting a cover that early but there was one…even with no dancers on stage, maybe 2 customers and one dancer sitting playing with her phone at the bar. It would have cost the two of us 40 bucks just to walk through the door. I told the door attendant we had something for one of the dancers and I’d text her to just come out there to get it. He got grumpy and demanded her name, said someone would “go and bring her out” even though he saw I was already texting her, then demanded her name again. I told him I wasn’t sure what name she was using but gave a name I thought might be right and he just played dumb.

We did finally get the calendar to her and Crusin Chubbys lived up to its reputation of being just a small town tourist trap that is dead except for summers and deer season. I’m told most of the girls are attractive that work there but the private dances go for $40.00 and are quite tame. The club it's self looks really nice, was clean with ample parking and would be a great place to go except they think they are in New York City, or L.A. or some real city where you can expect higher prices, not a farm community in Wisconsin.

All in all not worth the trip even if you happen to live right in town. Maybe I’ll try it again in another 20 years.
