A Ray of Hope.....Maybe

Finally getting around to this. For many years this place has been one of my definite 'go-to's for fun. Have met some of my all-time favorite entertainers here and a bevy of just hot, hot girls, including Nicole, Katana, Angel, Sasha, Roxy (after her move from the Diamond Club), Jenae, Ashton (third iteration) and OG Payton (sadly missed). Since the end of the pandemic, though, I have had real concerns about the trajectory of this place. Talent and service have been uneven. Now, I do have to cut some slack as I think we all would agree that the pandemic and lockdowns made it difficult for all club owners to get the talent in. So many of the hottest women now prefer sitting at home in front of a cam, and I guess in some sense you can't blame them.

What follows is a summary of several visits over the past 6 months or so. Overall, it seems to be getting better, but we'll see.

First visit was on a Thursday night, and I know that the caveat there is that it was Thursday and you shouldn't expect to see the 'A' team on duty, but to me, this wasn't even the 'F' team. At this point you were still seeing some of the talent that used to occupy that Castaways Club way down in Dauphin County (that then moved to Leave It To Beavers for a time). The 'new' Payton came from there. Other than that ,it was one (and I'm sorry to say this) way overweight dancer after another. It was beyond disappointing, and I have to say that at this point, considering that the place is only open now Wednesday through Saturday, Thursday really should be the kick-off of the weekend and the talent should reflect that, IMO. At one point, I strolled back to the shower stage area, near the lavs and the entrance to the private dances and noticed (I guess for the first time) that the pool table had been removed. Then I looked to my right and noticed that it has been replaced with a second ATM (ok, that makes sense) AND.....a vending machine. Looking at what was on stage at that point, I just kind of shook my head and thought to myself, 'no wonder'. Then, I saw something that really shocked me, considering the reputation that this place has had among us connoisseurs of adult entertainment over these many years: There standing next to the door guy was what definitely looked to me like Uncle LEO. Now, there certainly were no altercations that night or any other disruptions, so I have to think that the place is on someone's radar. I've long suspected that occasionally the local town fathers will pop in to make sure everything is on the up and up in here. You can't miss them - a row of pasty, white middle-aged guys sitting there in their polo shirts and pleated shorts - I mean to me it sticks out like a sore thumb (of course, it just could as easily be a golfing foursome from out of town). Now, the fact that you have a uniformed officer in there chatting with the staff and owner just makes me wonder what might be up. Needless to say, that was the final buzzkill and I left without partaking in any kind of private entertainment.
