was travelling south from North Jersey after a grueling four days, and nights, on the road. A Cuban and a Dominican in Louisville and then a Brazilian in Bristol, PA and another Dominican in Elizabeth, NJ. My typical, low key afternoon "pick me up" in such circumstances is to divert over to Delilah's in Manville, NJ for a reliable experience. But, it is a bit of a diversion, probably adding an hour of travel time compared to heading straight down I-95/NJ Tpke. I've read the reviews of Carnival in Brooklawn, NJ, which promises an experience comparable to Delilah's, in an arguably somewhat less desirable setting.
Club is just off southbound US 130, right across from a Wawa where Ponzio's Brooklawn once stood. It's less than a half mile from the westbound approach ramps for the westbound Walt Whitman Bridge into Philadelphia. Short hop from I-295 so a pretty easy diversion if you’re travelling between metro NYC and points south.
Smallish-looking adult bookstore with ample parking on the side where the entrance is. You're in full view of the highway, so deal with it.There's also an entrance to the parking lot off of Browning Road, as major cross street, which will come in handy if you're trying to access the place while heading northbound on 130, or if you want to head north after you leave, because 130 is divided by a median barrier.
You enter the store and to the left is an entryway with a curtain pulled back and a handwritten sign that a first-grader made that says "Girls". There's a doughy attendant who doesn't look like he'd be very good at explaining things. Thankfully, there's TUSCL. The women are on display in a series of glass booths, which was disconcerting. I didn’t have to linger long. There was a hot, young, fit AA woman eagerly trying to get my attention, like a cute puppy at a pet shop, bouncing up and down and smiling with her bare breasts pressed against the glass. You go around behind the booths to a door corresponding to the booth # of the woman you're interested in, slide a dollar in a slot. A screen slides up and you talk the her via a telephone handset. She was very upbeat and engaging and I confirmed that we could "have fun" in VIP.
So I paid the attendant $60, which buys 20 minutes, and my enthusiastic new friend and I walked to one of the little curtained rooms with a bench against the back wall. She asked if I was "generous". I said I was, and she volunteered a price for "everything" which, taken all-in with the $60 paid up front to the club, beats what it costs for similar service at Delilah's Manville or Purple Orchid in Phila (unless maybe you're one of the master negotiators who sometimes post or comment on these reviews). So off to the races we went.
The experience was good. She was vivacious throughout. Given her looks and demeanor, I'm either not understanding the economics of the profession, or she had personal reasons for working at this relative shithole (in fairness, it is clean, but there's a different dynamic to walking into the back of an adult bookstore as compared to a "gentlemen's club". She wouldn't necessarily be a headliner, but could fit in fine at one of the Phila clubs and seemingly make more money in a more sociable environment. For all I know, she owns the place.
