Cover for nothing

I was driving through to visit family and stopped at Heartbreakers on the way because they are the only thing open on a Friday afternoon that I know of. Entered shortly after 3 and a bouncer wandered over and scanned my ID, which I hate, and charged me the usual 10 dollar cover. Went in and used the bathroom way back in the back room behind the second stage. Had to turn on the lights because I was the first person here. Went back to the bar and ordered a beer that was about 5 or 6 bucks. As a bar Heartbreakers is clean and well kept up with two stages and a few low cocktail tables and chairs near the bar. Dances are in open booths behind the bar area but I can't say what the dances are currently like because there were no dancers out in the main room when I got there. Eventually two girls came out. One was really good looking and the other was a classic Milwaukee stripper. Just looked like any girl you'd see at any bar. I remained the only guy there for the 30 minutes I was in and they sat and just chatted together at the other end of the bar. They never even looked my way so I could try to make eye contact. Sure I could have gone and approached them, but I am not the one working so I finished my beer and made my exit because it seemed like getting attention was going to take too much work and I was already upset that I had paid 10 bucks to be ignored. Lesson learned. Don't stop in here early next time.
