Ok Time

I recently went on a Saturday night to Dames and Games in Van Nuys. Overall, it was a good experience for me and if I am in the neighborhood, I might go again.

Let's start with the logistics. Valet parking was available for a hefty $20, but considering the lack of street parking in the industrial area, it was a necessary evil. The club's location is certainly unconventional, nestled among warehouses and factories, but once you step inside, you'll find yourself in a world of its own. Of everything I experienced, this was the worst part. The other bad thing is that this club will charge you for change. I wanted to get $100 worth of ones for tipping the girls on stage but the place said they would cost $10 so I would be left with $90. I heard that this is now customary in these types of clubs in LA.

The cover charge was $20 which appears to be the norm for entrance to these sorts of clubs after 10pm. As I entered, I noticed that the place wasn't packed even on a Saturday night. There might have been about 10-15 dancers at the time. They all seemed to be in good spirits and fortunately none of them were overly aggressive. In terms of looks I would rate the dancers in the 6-8 range. There were all ethnicities represented but it did seem there were more Latinas there.
