Black Friday shopping at Delilah's

Decided to investigate some new-to-me territory. Delilah's (Hazlet) was easy to access from main roads, and has a nice sized parking lot with some private/shielded parking if you want your vehicle out of view. The location borders a major highway against the backdrop of a residential neighborhood. Entrance is through a side door, and the patron is quickly greeted by a long bar with numerous poles and typical dance music. Stopped in on the late afternoon (3-5 pm) of Black Friday, not sure of what to expect. On this day, it was very slow, but as this is my first visit, I don't know whether it was b/c of Black Friday, if I just hit the beginnings of a shift change, or if that's a regular Friday pm thing at Delilah's. Will have to investigate again.

Saw < 5 dancers, of which only 3 hit the stage, with varied levels of performance. One older caucasian who could have belonged at Playhouse Lounge, a larger but heavily overperfumed AA, and a younger latina graced the stage in the 90 min I was there. Of the non dancers, an extremely tattooed entertainer was giving a long back massage to an elder sport, and another sat quietly in the corner and did not interact with anyone but other dancers. Stage performances were varied in quality and athleticism. The younger latina was a standout pole performer, but seemed to be magnetized to a regular or high(er) roller when not on stage. The other two were flirty and interactive, but did not push private dances as much as I have experienced elsewhere. Tip parade was a feature, but not excessive as in other clubs.

I stayed for two overpriced beers and left with my stack largely intact, noting several other patrons who entered after me and left before me. Would have considered a dance with some of the talent, if asked.
