A Generous Mix of Both Good and Bad

Dropped by here this past Friday night around 10pm before flying out to AZ for a quick business trip. The parking is easy here, in an open lot with plenty of flood lights everywhere which makes you feel fairly secure as it’s right next to a freeway overpass. Had an old pass from a preceding visit so the door/security guy let me in for $10.00 (cover was $30.00 without the pass) - did the usual scanning of the id and walked through the airport sized metal detector which alleviated the petty annoyance of having to get frisked. Club was fairly packed, unlike most of the other Rhino’s I’ve visited these days so that was a refreshing change of scenery.

Walked to the bartender, a fairly cute half black/half filipino? girl who was posting stories on instagram at the same time I approached. I get being a “bartender” at a strip club isn’t the most appealing gig but show a little life, will ya? Had to raise my voice just to catch her attention, to the chagrin of the old man sitting next to me. Asked for a bottled water (8 bucks) and she threw me a half dead gaze, released what sounded like a muffled sigh and handed me the water while yawning. Gave her 8 bucks in ones, no tip, as I hate apathetic service. She went back to instagram. There were maybe 3 bucks in her tip jar. And these girls wonder why they can’t make any money in the service industry. Par for the course.

Was immediately approached by a tatted up, older white woman with enhanced everything. Breasts, ass, square hips and some seemingly bad Botox that prevented her from having any type of discernible facial expressions so couldn’t really play the pantomime game, as Christopher Walken would say. After a brief discussion about nothing at all she asked me what I was in the mood for and quoted me $1,000k for a BJ. Huh?? Let me get this straight, a down payment on a car for CBJ. No thank you. It’s quite baffling how many of these dancers overvalue themselves and completely price themselves out of the market. Is it delusion, is it arrogance, or is it lack of possessing basic business acumen? Who knows but passed and took a seat near the stage.
