Was back in town over the holiday weekend and had some time to kill, so I headed back to the doll. Many years ago, this was my favorite club – truly a hidden gem in the center of Providence. Then a couple of years ago it all changed and this club went from the best to just about the worst. I still stop by every now and then, and over the last year or so, the club has been slowly improving, but in the few months since I was last there, nothing has really changed. There are some familiar faces still here, but it is mostly new (or new to me) girls. And they're generally above average, but nothing particularly wonderful. Tipping at the stage still gets you a nice little show, but the only visit I made to the not-so-private dance area was so instantly forgettable, that I don't even remember the dancers name. If you get here before the cover charge, this can be a nice bar to spend a couple of hours in, but the club isn't improving fast enough for me to make a special trip to get here. There are much better options in Providence.
