Here we go again

It's football season so I have new excuses to get out of the house. Monday Night Football and scattered ass is always a nice combination so back to the nightlife I went. Paradizios is a dive bar located in Irvington, next to the Bus terminal. Not the friendliest of places to out of towners at night but I'm originally from the area so I know how things usually roll here. It's a dive bar. In my opinion it's a step above the absolute DUMP that was Bottom's Up. This bar is at least not reeking of piss and is cleaner than it used to be. The staff is what you'd expect for downtown Irvington. Phat asses, bright hair and tattoos galore. Unfortunately, that's exactly my speed. I love erm young, curvy, tatted, and loose. If that's wha you like, Paradizios has them in spades.

The bar itself is rectangular, oddly enough with a hot tub/TV set up on stage that I've only seen the dancers use once in all my years of coming here. They usually have all the games on "free" TV but not much else. Cover is usually $20 at night and security has been beefed up. Makes me feel better but a hood bar is a hood bar. I enjoy the company and the distractions and for now, it serves it purpose. There's an upstairs VIP for $50 in addition to the $20 VIP by the DJ but the staff can also handle business barside if that's what you're both cool and comfortable with. My biggest gripe is with the bartending staff, or lack of it rather. The last couple of times I've gone she's been terrible. Impossible to get her attention, you have to keep track of what your change should be, and she's more interested in shaking her ass for instagram and the customers than getting drinks. She's also often the only option. Makes it tough to keepa good buzz if you're constantly short on drinks and money. The company makes it worth it most nights but if you visit here, you should probably get your drinks first so you don't have to constantly fight for attention.
