Off Monday
Wondering if the UAW strike is starting to take its toll. Rolled in Monday around 7 dodged the giant pot holes in the parking lot and paid the $5 cover charge. No change to the inside it does seem like more light has been added to the back tables by the DJ booth. Still smokey and several folks enjoying cigarettes in the bar. Prompt waitress service $8 Coors Light $2 tip so beer was $10.
When I arrived there was one dancer on stage. A larger girl to her credit was truly trying to dance on stage. After 5 songs the dancer tried to alert the DJ she had been on stage for a long time. After her 6th song an A cup thin AA jumped on stage and was 3 song in with no site of the next dancer. There was one other dance walking around the club but did not seem interested in going on stage, while “enjoying” my beer I saw only one other dancer heading towards the dressing room.
I cut my losses after one beer and headed out. Admittedly not the best time to hit a club. There was no day shift carry over and the club was pretty empty maybe just an off Monday. As I drove by Bogarts I only saw 3 cars out front around 8 PM. Leading to speculation that there is not lot of extra money around Detroit right now
