continuing my tour of nyc clubs, decided to try out bare elegance, as from reading this site, there were probably extras to be had. the club is up a flight of stairs. once inside, the bar is to the right, and the stage/seating is to the left. the stage is super small and has 2 poles. seats and tables are all around the stage. there was only one other patron when i showed up at 10:30ish. cover was $10 and a one drink minimum. i ordered a $6 coors light (served in a glass), which happened to be one of the skunkiest beers i've ever tasted. i'm not even sure it was beer. after forcing myself to try a few sips, it wasn't even worth trying anymore. should have ordered a coke. well, on this night there were only 3 dancers and maybe 5 patrons total while i was there. most, unlike me, were smart enough to leave shortly after arriving. 2 of the dancers were actually decent (7-8) in my book. the 3rd needed to lose several pounds. the performers danced to 2 songs. 2 of them went topless, while the 3rd kept her outfit on at all times. half the time, there was no one on stage. it was pretty damn boring. well, i always come to these places with a mission. instead of getting the heck out, i waited and waited until i was asked for a dance by a tall latina gal with a nice body (she did look much nicer from a distance). having been bored all night, it didn't take much to convince me to go for a private (champagne room) dance. there were not the standard $20 lap dances at this place. the cost was $100 to the club (i used my credit card and had to pay tax (another $8+)). i gave $100 cash to the dancer, and gave the waitress $10+ tip (her suggestion). anyhow, she got topless, i got shirtless, and she also unbuckled my pants. unfortch no extras were offered. i was having a decent time when she started grinding hard causing me to sort of make a mess on me and her. she kind of freaked out and stopped the dance, and then was pissed at me for ruining her outfit. she basically demanded that i pay for it. sheepishly i forked over $20+, then told her to fuck off when she tried to hit me up for more. overall, a very lame club which i should have left asap, and a so-so private dance that wasn't enough to save the night. the buyer's remorse doesn't help either. not going here again.
