Expectations exceeded

My expectations were low. After all it was a Monday night. The reviews I had read, although not bad, suggested that better clubs were available within a 1/2 hour drive. But I was visiting, without a car, and Roxxanne's was my only choice.

Finding Roxanne's was a bit of a challenge. Despite the neon sign, the entrance to Roxxanne's is on Natchez Street, not on Victoria.

I entered into a very large, very dark room. I could barely make out the dancer on the stage. No one was sitting at the stage , so I took a seat at a table near the stage.
