Was in Chicago on business again, and this time my client suggested we hit VIP since it is more convenient to downtown than the Admiral. It was a quick cab ride (north) to a neighborhood that was once industrial, but is now filled with trendy bars, restaurants and shopping.
I did not see parking, but they have Valet. I would reccomend taking a cab. Cover is $15(?) but we had some get in free coupons from a local newspaper and from the club website.
VIP is a big glam type of club with the high end look inside and out. Flat screen TVs with the Bulls game on everywhere and a big bar. The layout is simple with a single long stage with two polls. The bar is parallel to the stage and has access since it is close and there are no chairs on that side of the stage. Small tables with uncomfortable chairs fill the space around the stage. Opposite the bar is an elevated VIP area with comfortable chairs and some booths. Full alcohol bar, so we sat there and ordered some drinks. $6 for a beer.
