A Last Hurrah?

The club has changed a fair amount since I first started going there (back when fire was new), but it's been fairly stable recently. Walk in, you're facing the bar, main stage off to your back left. Couch rooms ahead and to the left, pisser on the right. As always, the club had a mixture of attractiveness - two girls were absolutely smoking hot blondes, most were 7-8, a few were 5-6, I didn't see any dancers below a 5.

Unlike other clubs that I've been to recently, the girls here still know how to give high-mileage lap dances. Yeah, yeah, the couch room is strictly no touching (she can rub up against you all she wants though) - deal. It's just a quirk of this club. Couch dances are still very worthwhile.

What the girls seem to have forgotten is basic gratitude. I'm not a big tipper - I don't make it rain or hand out Benjamins just for a smile, but when I do drop $8-$12 on you on stage, I expect you to come by after your set and give me 2-3 seconds of attention to say thank you. Do that and then you can go back to sitting next to your regulars who aren't spending shit, pull your phone out, and doomscroll all night if you want to, I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with dropping $10 on you then having you walk right by me after your set completely ignoring me as if I were invisible. That's not cool. That happened four times between Friday and Saturday visits, which completely soured me on what had been a club I considered a "hidden gem" since I found it almost 15 years ago.
