KoD stays consistent

Been a while since I swung by the KoD, so I dropped in on my way home this Saturday. Parking lot is large and well lighted, the club itself is a ways outside 494, right on the border between suburbs and country. Entry was $10 and you are supposed to buy a drink when you enter, but I didn't see that policed too significantly while I was there.

The club has one stage at the end of the lower level, and then a smaller stage at the level up half a flight of stage that the dancers move to after they complete their 2 song rotation on the main. Each stage has a LARGE tip rail separating it from the stage (~18" or so) that the dancers don't come onto - they will dance in front of you for tips, but you will not receive any contact. The bar is to your left when you walk in, and a Corona was $8.

The club is one of the few in Minneapolis that is full nude, and the only one that is that also served alcohol. Dances are nude by the 2nd song, and floor dances are done topless ($10) - they move you to one of the booths along the wall and do a bit of gymnastics to assure that they keep one foot on the ground at all time. Strictly one way contact - you are supposed to keep your hands at your sides. The girls are good quality (5-7) with the occasional 3-4 and 8 thrown in, and were about 75% white with 25% black the evening I was there.

The VIP club prices were $95 for 3 songs (which were standard SC cut at about 3 minutes each), $200 for a half hour, and $350 for an hour. I've only been in back once many years ago, but at that time the no touch policy was still mostly enforced although you were allowed to touch the dancers' back at that time (not what *I* am paying VIP prices for, but whatever...). Given the "no touch" posting on their front door, I doubt you are going to see a lot more action than in the booths.

Not sure if this is common currently or not, but there were a huge amount of M/F couples and even a few sets of girlfriends in there, with almost 1/3 of the club's customers being ladies. If you have a partner hesitant about the atmosphere of some clubs, this would be a very friendly place to bring her.
