Exorbitant

Description: gravel parking lot behind a gate-less fence; run-down building; large bar on the back wall from the entrance with about 20 movable stools; two stages with poles, but no dancing ever happens on those stages anymore; two private booths with doors; grimy bathroom with no tissue and no paper towels.

Cover and Drinks: Cover is typically integrated into the first drink purchase, and I think that cover is 5 dollars. Soft drink another 6. Dancer drinks 10 and up.

Dancers: This used to be the place where older dancers eased into retirement, but now, younger dancers get their start here. On this particular Saturday, there were five dancers, three of which were in their 20s. All were Caucasian.

I sat at one of the four (or five?) little tables, even though most people seem to sit only at the bar. A lovely mid-20s brunette whose dancer-name has four letters (the first of which is L) approached and asked to join me. We had a very fun and interesting conversation for about 45 minutes. She is pretty, reasonably fit, interesting, clever, humorous, and charming. When she eventually got around to asking if I would be interested in going with her to one of the private booths, she seemed quite open-minded about what might occur. But when she could see that I was interested enough to probably accept her invitation, she told me what she charged...four hundred bucks. I refrained from audible laughter, but that was a challenge. I declined to go to the private booth. Even so, she hung around for a bit longer as we continued to enjoy a truly interesting conversation. I have nothing but positive things to say about her, but if C-Mowes is now home to the 4-bill interlude...that's weird.
