First time in Memphis,
After a night on Beale Street we decided to drive to Candyland after hearing that it was a black owned strip club. Arrived at the club which is a small building on the main road. Small parking lot out front to the side of the building. Entered and got a pat down and was instructed to pay a $20 cover plus $1 for beers and $5 for any bottle you brought in. It is strictly a byob establishment. Also be aware they charge 10% for any ones and change.
The place in small. Two small stages flanked by seats around the perimeter of the space. Elbow to elbow with your fellow customers. The inside was smokey as people were smoking weed and cigarettes. Near the entrance was three VIP rooms that cost $20 to enter. I asked about dance prices and they ranged from $20 to $25 a song. I inquired about VIP and was immediately told that sex isn't sold here. I asked another dancer why that was the first thing brought and she responded by telling me that some of the girls don't want to be labeled.
The majority of the girls were average at best but one did catch my eye. She was a caramel and thick and gave some of the best stage dances. After getting her attention I inquired about VIP and decided to take her there. She charge $100 for four songs and gave two way contact. She offered her number for OTC action but I never called her to set anything up.
The club stays open late but by 2:30 all but 2 girls had left. Apparently there is another club down the street that girls travel to in case it's slow. It's was a chill way to end the night but other options in the city are more lively.
