I checked out Platinum Diamonds over the weekend. I had been to this club in it's previous incarnations as "Illusions", and "The Silver Fox". Some notable improvements to the club include the lower level now being a VIP section only, with individual couch stalls for couch dances and "Champagne" Rooms. I was told by one of the dancers that the Champage Rooms are something like $300 for half hour. I was also told that pretty much anything goes providing the girl is up for it. I tried a couple of couch dances in the one of the stalls and it was pretty good. Security wasn't looking over your shoulder either - unless they have hidden cameras. The upstairs section has been remodelled and they have a small main stage along with another one in a back corner. The seating is great on the main floor giving you a good view of the stage. The only negatives I could say about the place is that they need to get a few more good looking girls there. There were only a couple of real standouts. This club has always had a problem attracting any talent. But, it seems nowadays that most bars in Winston just don't have the girls they once had. The pinnacle of strip clubs in Winston was the Excalibur a few years ago. But, it's long since gone, having become Paper Moon. And gone with it are the golden days of strip clubs in Winston.
