Some Cute dancers but too many Dogs.

Flew into LAX late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and decided to check RIO out because I was interested in seeing some black girls and RIO seemed liked a good bet. It took about 20 minutes to get from LAX to RIO - and there was no traffic at midnight on a weekday.

The club is not in a great area but there's gated parking with a security guard standing outside. As I pulled into the lot, 3 stray dogs (who didn't look or act particularly friendly) approached my car and started jumping against it and surrounded it. I started to wonder if I was going to be able to get out but as I drove further into the lot they turned around and scattered away. Still, that was something I can truly say I've never experienced arriving at a strip club before.

The security guy - a heavy set fellow who mumbled when he spoke and displayed no personality - took my I.D., patted me down and let me inside where a $20 cover got you through the curtain and into the club. The club itself is okay. It's rectangular with the stage right in the middle of the club. Chairs and small cocktail tables are lined up on north and south of the stage while padded benches and some boothes that were roped off assumingly for VIP's - which I doubt visit this club very often - were on the west and east side of the stage. Around the wall on the west side of the club was the private dance area, which has no curtains and a small, half wall that really acts as a way to separate the area from the main floor, not as a provider of any kind of privacy.
