Relaxing Wednesday Afternoon

How to get there: coming west on Thomas Rd turn right (just past McDonald's) into the club and park around back. Be careful and don't get distracted by the amusing quote on the Sugar 44 sign. Coming from any other direction, turn into the alley just behind Wells Fargo on 44th St. Arrived around 2PM, the parking lot was half full. Quick recap of layout: two VIP areas, one up next to the DJ, one across from the bar, seems like dancers use both equally. No ID check or anyone at the door. $5 soft drinks, $5 241 beer, forgot price of 241 liquor.

Club is dark coming in from the 115° Phoenix heat but fine after your eyes adjust. Most dancers were reasonably fit, all Caucasian except for one Asian, no AA. Dancers were anywhere from early 20s to mid 30s. It's been a while since I was a regular, only recognized Zena & London from pre-Covid. From previous reviews it's recognized that London is pretty and very personable, highly recommend, seems like an appointment may not be needed since it is slow right now. Zena is Hispanic, a fun MILF and also recommended. Missing from my memory were Paris (although heard that she's back after a long absence), Mustang (just missing today, still there, and also possible to meet her without an appointment on some days), Crowley, Mikayla, Sativa, Veronica (she's still there though).

Dancers were rotating after 2 dances, tops off after 1st or 2nd song. Not much tipping on stage, S44 still is a laid back, mostly regulars and standing room only for the bar flies. Missed the names of most dancers because the DJ is difficult to understand. Music is mostly popular with very few rap songs, playing to the daytime patrons who are mostly retirement age white guys who are regulars to a particular dancer. Only names I understood were London, Crash, Zena & Eureka.
