Friday Afternoon Sugar

I stopped into S44 on a recent Friday afternoon. I arrived around 4pm. The parking lot was pretty full. The bouncer inside welcomed me into the club. No cover charge or ID check. It was really dark in there, especially coming in from the hot Arizona sun so be prepared.

The bar side seating was full, mostly with dancers, so I headed towards the stage area to find a seat there. That area wasn’t busy at all, which was a bit surprising give the amount of cars outside. There may have been 6-7 customers in the place when I got there, most, and I kid you not, were senior citizens. It was an old crowd that day. Anyways, super attentive waitress, $8 for a bottle of beer. Why no happy hour drink prices?

As for the girls, I’m guessing there were 10-12 girls working. On the 1-10 scale, they ranged from 5-9, with most skewing around 6-7. It feels like the girls who work here are comprised of the girls who either can’t get hired at Bourbon Street or they prefer to work here because there is less competition (i.e. they will be better looking then most of the other girls). Anyways, they were doing 2 song sets on the stage.
