Visited the Gold club back in...

Visited the Gold club back in early November. I was looking for something upscale in Hartford and all the recommendations pointed to this place as my best bet. I haven't been to a lot of clubs but, for an upscale place, this was a bit of a disappointment. However, from an objective standpoint, a good time was had by all...so I give it a decent score.

The club is laid out much like a sports bar. There is a bar and a lot of chairs around it and surrounding a main stage in the center of the room. Off to the east side of the club is a long row of couches for dance purposes and there is a VIP room in the north part of the club. I didn't visit VIP but a dancer took the wife back there and I'm told it is so-so, comfort wise. The chairs aren't the best but they weren't horrible.

The talent was a bit below average. What they lacked in the ridiculous good looks you come to expect in a strip club, they made up for in enthusiasm and variety. Most of the girls were having a pretty good time and really seemed to enjoy interacting with the customers. It wasn't hard to get attention or a smile...but I did have to beg a bit for a dance. On the whole, I felt the body of girls was not bad.
