A Wednesday game and a good time
After reading many reviews on this spot, I decided to go watch a game here on a Wednesday evening a few weeks back. As said by the many previous reviews, this place is extremely inconspicuous and looks like a regular, local, corner bar. No big signs outside (as far as I saw), just a discreet door on the corner to walk into.
As you enter, it's a long and narrow setup with the bar on the left hand side. In between two segments of the bar, is what feels wrong to call a "stage". But there is a small outcropping of a raised platform with a pole which the ladies will dance on. Seeing multiple of them fit onto this square was actually quite amusing.
I sat down near the door to get a drink and get my bearings. There were about 6-8 women working this night, and about 8 patrons sitting on the barstools either watching a game or talking with a dancer. According to prior reviews, this bar would be very locals/regulars friendly, with many Brazilians. Although it was my first time, the women were quite friendly to me as a newcomer and a few of them came to sit and introduce themselves. Also the dancers I met were all Dominican, which is perfectly fine with me, although I was trying to see if there's a difference, as I've been in heavily Dominican spots before. The talent ranged from a couple 4/5's to a few 6/7s, and one small 8/9. I was hoping to get the attention of the 8/9 at some point, but she seemed like she didn't really want to be there and had no desire to talk to patrons or give dances. She really only came around for the dollar parade. Could have just been one of those nights for her, but whatever.
