Area Code . . . we hardly knew ye

Was near DC again, but didn't want to chance their expensive, inconsistent scene, and wasn't going to head up to Baltimore and I saw the last review of this place was 8 months ago, so felt I should check it out, for science.

First, it's back to being called Mustang's. It had changed to Area Code not too long ago, but looks like they are back to using Mustang's now. I think it might have something to do with a violent incident that occurred there earlier this year and they are re-rebranding to move away from AC.

Anyway, there isn't any sign out to let you know the club is there, I had to trust my gps. It's right across from a strip mall. The building itself is settled in between some other office buildings and the parking lot is too small and crowded. I parked in front of the building next to the club. A guy pats you down just outside the front door. It was $20 to get in.

I don't know why the parking lot was so crowded because there were only like 4 customers in the place. There's a long bar when you get in and about 3-4 girls were sitting at it looking at their phones. One dude was sitting there with a girl, but I think he was staff; they weren't interacting anyway. There's a 4ft wall opposite the bar, going the length of it and on the other side is a sunken area with a stage and 2 poles. There are some booths around it and about 5 more girls were sitting in them looking at their phones. One booth had a guy in it with one girl dancing near him. There was a second, very small stage off of the first one with a table and chair at it where another guy was getting a show from another girl. There was not a lot of energy from either of the stages or the dances. Mind this was just after midnight on a Saturday, I thought the place would be a party: it was not.

The girls. All were AA. No problem with that, but I was hoping to meet a few Hispanic women, I heard some do dance there, but didn't see any this night. Few different body types, fit to thick to a bit more. Would say the range was 6-7. There was one 8.5, but she was the one dancing with the dude and she left after a bit. I was keeping an eye out for her, but she didn't come back. Seemed like it was the same 2 girls on stage the whole time I was there.
