meh visit to Old penthouse club

Random Thursday night visit, first in a few years. Club has had some upgrades in Decor and they moved the main stage into the center of the club, but otherwise the same. Got some flack from the bouncer on the way in for my sandals and shorts, but he let me in anyway saying next time I would not get in. Paid the 20$ cover (seems standard in Denver now) and went into the club from the entryway. Big bar on your right with about 10 stools and TV's with sports. They moved the main stage from just adjacent and sunken to the bar area to the center of the club. To the left of the bar are stairs leading to an upstairs vip area which is just another bar area but no dancing occurs up there, just hanging out. Not sure what the VIP cost is but it used to be about 1000 annually. This used to be a penthouse club. Where the main stage used to be are built in couches with tables. To the left of the stage are 4 little niche areas with couches where girls sit and text etc. You can join them as you want or use the niche area if you have a group. Main stage is about 10x10 with pole. Lots of tables and chairs around the stages ( there is a second stage just past the first). The main area is very large with very high ceilings. There used to be a other bar in the back but that is all seating now. The cop dance area is up stairs at the back of the club and has not changed. About 15 booths with openings for the bouncer to come look at you while you get a dance. Kind of creepy. Another 10 for a vip wrist band for upstairs dances. Dances up there are mediocre with some touching but no real mileage as bouncers are always coming to check on you. Usually 50 a dance up there. Not really worth it. Girls are usually pretty attractive at this club with a range but a lot of girl next door types. Had a couple dances with a few of the girls in the floor, but nothing special. Drinks are generally expensive here. The club is generally a late night high end party club. I would say that this is a club for young partiers and not mongers.....
