A Very Ruby Tuesday

This was my first ever visit to Torpedo's and I was pleasantly surprised, especially for a Tuesday early afternoon. The club is in the main downtown area of Bound Brook, a train stop along the Raritan Valley line. You can see the back of the club from the train platform. I could pay $4 to park in the station lot or pay $1 per hour on the street. I chose the street. The club's front entrance needs some work - it felt like I was entering an abandoned building.

Once inside, there's a two-pole stage with the bar wrapped around it. There was one dancer on stage and a couple of dudes at the bar. Seemed like more bar staff than customers. Or maybe they're regulars that act like they work there. This is a bikini bar so no topless dancing that I saw - you might get some flashes in the LD/VIP area. There's a room up some steps to the left of the bar with a bunch of pool tables. Further to the left is the entrance to the LD area managed by a friendly guy who keeps the timer. A nice feature here is that dances are timed - 4 or 5 minutes I forget exactly. So none of those rip-off, two-minute "Old Town Road" ditties. The guy will call out the dancer's name when the time is up and you can choose to extend and he keeps the timer going. Dances are $20 each and $100 for 15 minutes in VIP. I didn't ask if there was a separate VIP area, but the LDs happen in these totally open booths with wooden benches and dividers - not the best LD situation but I've seen worse. The good dancers take you to the last one on the right for more privacy and more action. No extras offered here, but of course YMMV.

So when I first sat down at the bar ($6 Heineken) and watched the only dancer on stage (a 5-6), I started to think this place was a bust. But I asked the bartender about the dancer situation and she said it's early and they'll start to arrive and come on stage. And almost instantly they all came out of the woodwork. And there are some fine-ass women here. Pretty much 100% Latinas - makes sense since Bound Brook is a majority Latino town. Peruvian-American Ruby and Vanessa from Brazil were my faves. Both 9-10s with amazing bodies and charming personalities. Had some really hot two-way touch (all over) dances with some fun otc stick-shifting.
