The Great Casa Diablo, A daytime disappointment.
First things first, a quick introduction. Contrary to what may be popular belief, this is not my first attempt at a review. I have started and deleted at least 3 other accounts here on TUSCL. Thus my name. As a quick reference to who I am check out this link: https://app.tuscl.net/discussion/74259 ... Okay lets get going on this.
I arrived at approximately 2:45 pm shortly after the club opened. If you check their website here: https://casadiablo.com/menu/ You will see there is an all day menu. Advertised are burgers, all day breakfasts, and a number of appetizers. To my disappointment over 2/3 of the "all day" menu is not available during the day. Burgers are only served at night, 2 of the 3 ladies working told me this. There were only french fries and 3-4 other appetizers available to select from.
There was no cover, parking was free, though you will be parking on a hill, because the club is located on a hill. And there were only 3 ladies working when I arrived. When you first enter you will walk into a small room that has one of the server podiums and just behind it is the entrance into the club. The podium had no one there, and I assume this is where you may pay a cover before entering in the late evening/ night time. There are 2 stages. Upon entering the second door you'll walk down a short hallway and the club opens up into a huge open space. Directly in front of you is the first stage which has a pole, and about 8-15 stage chairs wrapped around the stage. When I entered there was 2 guys sitting at the stage a lady on stage chatting it up with them, and I exchanged a quick hello. I then walked past them toward the back of the club. As you walk toward the back you will pass a second smaller stage and the bar is located at the back. There are no chairs at the bar and it actually dips down into the ground. Its a little odd, you'll be looking down into the bar when speaking to the bar tender. I ordered a small fry, and (now that I just read the menu this really pisses me off) paid the bar tender the price of the fry: $10. Have you figured out why the $10 fry pissed me off yet?
