Would not return to Harem

I visited The Harem on a Saturday around 2am after a night at the Post. I dropped by because they are open until 4am on weekends which is later than most clubs in the area. The bouncer wanted a $30 cover per person which seemed high. The bouncers at the door have an attitude like they’re working the door of a nightclub in NYC. This is Lodi dudes. They only had soft drinks and very limited beer but you could bring your own alcohol. A beer bucket of 6 beers was $40 something.

The dancers were mostly Latina with a few black girls. Dances are $20 a song and all take place in one large open room with chairs and no privacy. There’s a VIP room next to it for about $200 where you can get extras. My first dance was with a very light skinned girl who tried to scam me and charge for 3 songs instead of 2 songs I had asked for and she agreed to. She also randomly starting yelling at me and trying to force me to tip her more than $10 I had decided to despite how rude she was. It was clear this girl was on drugs of some kind. Night did not get off to a good start.

I next took a beautiful Cuban girl for a few dances. She was nice, polite and had a great body. The girls go topless during the dances which is unique for the area. She definitely salvaged the night after the first rude and crazy dancer. Overall, the Harem isn’t great though. The place looks and feels dirty like a fraternity basement. The people inside were mostly very young like college age kids. Some girls were very nice but others had a real attitude and were clearly on drugs. The hours are an advantage but the talent and scene isn’t worth it for me to return and spend a night here.
