Don't know if this counts as a review, but I went to Pin Ups as usual, last week, after a couple of months' hiatus. As I drove past the Publix and was about to turn left into the front of the club, I felt like something was off. Anyway, I figured it out once I drove closer. There's a sign on the club itself, and also on the door, that the club is closed due to a fire, and that they will soon reopen as a new club (I'm guessing under a new name). I don't remember any fire at Pin Ups that was big enough to shut the club down...I'm pretty sure we would all have heard about such a "fire". I'm guessing they needed some kind of excuse to tell customers about the reason they're shutting down.
So you can expect a new club name and new management. I wonder if that will change the demographics as well. I will miss those big booty black chics...and the laid back vibe of the club. Also, that neighborhood was pretty safe (unlike for example Blue Flame in Bankhead). If any of y'all know where most of the Pin Ups ladies have migrated to, let me know. My first guess would be Club Blaze.
