An Okay Lap Dance Parlor
I was visiting NYC and wanted to try out the strip club scene. So I went to Rick's on a Thursday 9pm. The ambience and layout were nice despite the bathroom troll. It's loud so I'm glad I brought ear plugs. There are no private lap dance areas so deal with dances being in full view. Beer costs $12 and cocktails cost $18. Needless to say I didn't buy many drinks. Rick's uses a pseudonym on credit card bills.
I noticed very little pole dancing. Strippers were moving around the poles but nothing I'd describe as pole dancing. So I just spent my time talking to dancers and getting lap dances. The dancers are in good shape and racially diverse. Lap dances are a bargain at $20 per song. Eventually I got a dance with a 40 year old dancer (don't remember her name). Her lap dance was good and she went overboard with flattery. She seemed like she could give me a good time. So I invited her to VIP.
VIP is base $400 for 30 minutes. There are hidden fees including a minimum one drink purchase. If I took care of the house they'd take care of me, recommended $100 house tip. I was looking for extras so I obliged.
