No Regrets At All
Had some time to kill in between when my flight got in to DFW and when I could check into my accommodations, so decided to stop in here for lunch. I called ahead because I knew I'd be using public transit and I'd still have my luggage in tow. A woman with a cute voice answered the phone. This was no problem, she said, they could store my bags for me at the front desk; no big deal, they apparently see it often.
When I arrived, the facilities lived up to the hype: sculptures out front; fancy sports cars parked near the entrance; huge, fancy double doors; right next door to some 2-3-star hotels; it felt like walking into the Playboy mansion. Inside, I was greeted by a lovely woman at the front desk in the lobby; presumably the same person who I had spoken to on the phone earlier. She was straightforward but very polite and accommodating. Leaving my bags with her was, indeed, no big deal. Rules were posted for non-members, and include no hats or caps, so I left mine with my bags, paid the $5 cover, and left a small tip as well.
The main room was quite spacious with multiple stages, a bar, and a wide variety of seating arrangements. The decor was classy; not taking itself too seriously, but definitely not tacky or dive-ish by any stretch. The atmosphere was comfortable and laid back, but plenty stimulating with music videos up on a huge screen and great lighting.
