First time, not last, at Outer Limits
After a show downtown, visited The Outer Limits based on the strength of reviews here. I actually tried earlier in the day - they open at 2 - but on entrance, bartender told me no one was dancing until after 5, so I left.
On entrance, it feels like a cheap, dark, neighborhood bar, complete with a couple of video games and a pool table in the back room. Stools along a long bar on entrance, cover charge of $6 with a one drink minimum (I am driving, so just water and a can of Pepsi for me, $3 each). Seven or eight small tables with four strip club chairs around them surround a stage to the right. The stage has two poles and mirrors all along the opposite wall, and the dancer room is at the top of the stage. It feels comfortable and like a strip club that will either be wonderful or extremely disappointing with no in between.
There is a board behind the bouncer which lists eleven dancers working. Clientele ranges from a couple of old guys wearing Deere hats to younger crowd of what used to be called yuppies. I sit down with my soda and wait to see the stage show, as no one is up currently.
