Low key neighborhood dive

This review is going to sound mean, but I actually kind of like this place. It has two significant advantages. (1) It's about 100 yards from the Massachusetts state line, so if you're coming from the north, you encounter zero Providence traffic. (2) Dance prices have been $20 per five minutes for a decade, offering more time for less money than any other club I know. (Also, no daytime cover, and I paid about $4.00 for my Coke.)

The bad news is that you sort of get what you pay for. The building is a no-frills roadside tavern with ample parking in a residential neighborhood. Inside is one big room with a rectangular bar at the center. The bar is also the stage. One dancer at a time walks along the bar, stopping to converse with each customer.

These conversations are generally topless. I think there may be some Board of Health rule that dancers have to wear bottoms, but it may not say where they have to wear them, so dancers generally strategically misplace whatever they keep on. There are typically three or four dancers during the day, sometimes including a Brazilian or black dancer, but always a couple of white dancers. The total roster might have a dozen dancers.
