Great late Saturday at The Rose
After a night of partying with a lady friend on Rainey Street, she wanted to party at a gentlemans club. I am not from Austin but travel there a lot on business. I have been to Yellow Rose once before for a friends bachelor party, so decided to return.
Needed food so made a pitstop at Whataburger before going in. Im not local, but just a tip that there is 24 hour fast food down the street.
Always concerned about how they will treat you at the door to a strip joint when you are with a female. Was offered cover but asked if rhey had any tables. They brough someone out from inside and he offered a 2 top table in a good area for $99 in the raised dance area for a "house" bottle of champagne. Otherwise, it woukd be first come first serve. I could tell by the traffic that the club was pretty packed, so i bit. We enter the club and it is standing room only. You have to say excuse me to get by people. There are two areas, one that is floor level, it is on the left of the entryway. There is a large stage and what looked like two bars. I didnt spend any time here to know what the service or anything was like. As you walk in on the right, there are a few stairs and then a "VIP" area (using quotes on purpose cause it wasnt roped off. There is a stage here and some tables and booths. We were sat in a table in the middle of that area. It seems that the majority of the dances are in this area. Some of the ladies are sitting at tables and booths with what they percieve are "whales" because they have bottle service. These were some of the most attractive women. Also, most of the women who are paid for dances are taking men to the empty booths and tables in this area to perform them. Basically, perfect seating.
