The Anti-Chorus Line (Dance 3, Looks 10)
BSC is the quintessential example of the term "night and day," both metaphorically and literally. Dayshift is filled with dancers who understand the mechanics of a good lap dance, and know how to deliver time and again.
Not so much the night shift, which this review will encompass. The basics: the parking lot is huge; in days of yore, it was actually filled to capacity; now, rarely more than 12-20 cars in the lot, most of which belong to dancers and/or other club personnel. At night, the bouncers cone off the front parking spaces, again this is a shout out to when that was necessary to get a decent space. That is never the case anymore.
Cover charge is $7, you are handed a receipt which you give to the doorman five steps away from you. Find your own table, unless you want one of the ones directly in front of the stage. Those are "reserved" and bouncers expect a tip for you to sit there. Again, unnecessary. Once seated, the waitress (who is also, sadly, the bustiest women in the place but unavailable for dances) takes your order. Cokes/non-alcoholic beverages are now $6 each (plus tip). Don't know what beers/hard liquor costs as I don't drink. The club has three stages, with the main center stage often the only one used. Depending on the number of dancers on shift, they will do either 1- or 2-song sets, then wait for the next dancer to appear and leave the stage. This is a BSC tradition.
