Enter the Octagon
This club’s namesake, of course, is the famous rock-n-roll bar in Los Angelas where iconic bands of the 60s and 70s performed. I’ll probably never make it to the real thing, so I wanted to check this place out during my quick trip to Toronto.
After a short trek from the airport area where I was staying, I arrived at about midnight. The parking lot was mostly full, but it was still easy to find a parking spot. Cover charge was $13 CAD.
The club is very visually appealing. It has the look and feel of an upscale sports bar combined with . . . what? An MMA ring? The main stage is a large octagonal pit in the center of the club surrounded by some seating. The rest of the seating surrounds the octagon on an upper level.
