Checking out Rick's
Was in Raleigh on Monday afternoon, and I decided to stop by and see how The Men's Club had changed since becoming Rick's. I arrived about 12:30 just after they had opened. The door lady looked at my ID, but did not scan it or charge me an admission fee.
The club layout has not changed any, so I won't describe it again. I entered the main club area and took a seat at the one open bar. Since it was lunchtime, I asked the bartender for a menu and was told that lunch was complementary with the purchase of two drinks. So, I asked the very attractive dancer sitting at the bar if she would like to join me.
Over a shared basket of free chicken tenders ($19.50 for my beer and her drink), she told me the major change for Rick's. Under Rick's management, the dancers could set their own price for VIP dances. Base price is $40/song, but the ladies could charge more (and of course tips are always welcome)! Make sure you know how much your dancer will charge before you go back to VIP. There was also a $5 VIP room fee (I only went back once, so I'm not sure if this was a one time charge, or if you had to pay this per visit.) Rooms are still available and their rates are $200/15 minutes, $300/30 minutes and $600/hour. I opted for the 15 minute dance. Contact was good - nice grindage but limited touching. I didn't have a chance to sample any of the other dancers since I had to leave soon after.
