What business are they in?
This club is usually mentioned in comparison to its neighbor Centerfolds. After my last couple of visits, I'm starting to doubt the validity of that comparison, because I no longer think they're in the same business. There's a stage, but I haven't seen it used in months. The center of the room is full of tables and chairs, but nobody is sitting in them. There's a bar, with a surly barkeep (heart of gold, I'm sure) who emerges from hiding to sell me a Coke ($4.00 or so) and then disappears. There's a customer (me), sometimes more than one, and so far there's always been at least one dancer.
On my last visit, the bartender told me there were three dancers. One was a cute young(ish) black woman I had not seen before. The other two were white and would have been GND types fifteen years ago when they started. Two of the three were permanently affixed to customers (it's a "regulars" place) and I never actually saw the third. I eventually gave up and left with my wallet intact.
