This girl is no Golden Girl
I go to Gold Club at least once per week during the day. I go because of location and some of the dancers. Charlotte is not a great clubbing town and clubbing during the day is even worse.
Gold Club is located in a decent area and has plenty of free parking. You walk in to a check in station which is empty during the day. No cover. You pass the bathrooms on the left entering the club. The men's room has been redone a few times over the past few years, but still stinks. As you enter the club, the bar is straight ahead to the back, their is a small stage to your right, the main stage to your far right and seating in the open areas to the bar. Upstairs is where most dances take place, with $35 for the normal VIP (some dancers charge $40) and they have two slightly more private VIP areas which are $150 for 15 minutes. Overall decent space except for the Men's room.
I sit at the bar during the day which is a popular place. One of the daytime bartenders is hot (she also dances some nights) and one is a bit unfriendly, but both have their followers. My drink costs $10. Many Dancers ask you to buy them a drink which is usually $20. However, I was informed that Gold is now telling their dancers no drinking while at work. Apparently, there is an NC law that states dancers cannot drink in a strip club while working. How stupid is that law? Who even comes up with this stuff?
