First time in

Have never had the chance to stop by the famed “Pic” before, so I decided to make a special trip to check out the sista-friendly hangout.

Place was very hard to find, very subtle signage out front and GPS takes you down a one way alley for some reason. Parking is strictly on-street and there’s not always spots available, so you might have a small hike. Not great since the area didn’t look the best, but I lucked out and got a nearby spot. Buzz oed outside to be let in like it’s a speakeasy and paid a $12 cover to enter.

The club is broken into upper and lower levels. Lower seems to be where the most used bar is whereas upper seems to be where all dances happen. I bought myself a beer for 6.75 and settled in. There were two AA dancers sitting around talking to what I guess are regulars while one spinner danced on the single stage across from the bar. Girl was up there for no less than 7 songs. I went up and tipped her a few ones for her booty work and went to work on my beer. That’s when Boots stopped by. She was very friendly and handsy, happy to talk barside and didn’t push dances too much, chatting about her civilian job and such. The handshakes eventually encouraged me to make the ask on my own and we made out way to the upper level.

Once there, you have the option, if it’s empty, of sitting at the bar chairs or the thin couch-like bench seating along the wall. I went with the bar chairs. Boots continued to be handsy, eventually freeing the man in charge to give me a slide barside. Nothing else happened, but It’s a weird feeling being just pulled out when other dancers have to walk beside you to get to their locker room or whatever. We had about 4 songs at 10 bucks a pop. Once done, I scooped up Hot Chocolate, an AA cutie with a figure to die for. She was similarly handsy and also encouraged freedom for the boss, but kept him draped in my own shirt while she danced. Seemed counterproductive but whatever she was hot. Did 2 songs with her at the same rate. By that point, I had to get to a work function and headed on my way. I’ll be back, seems potential here.
