First time going to a club in Massachusetts - Overall Disappointing

This was my first time visiting Boston so decided to hit up a nearby club on a Saturday night.

I went at around 10 pm -15$ entry charge. The place is pretty big and a large dance floor but felt almost dead. The dancer were doing their thing in the stage but barely any people near the stage. Dancers looked mostly meh, very few of them were good looking though. There's a VIP section on the far right I believe. There were around 15 people nearby mostly at the bars, standing and chatting with girls.

I got a drink (jack and coke) for 15$ and sat on one of the sofas. I was not approached by anyone for at least 20 mins. Later, I was approached by a cute girl (forgot her name). She just sat beside me on one of the sofas and starting talking with me like a stranger I met on the bus. No effort to seduce or stuff like that. She talked about places she travelled, music she likes and that she's currently studying to become a nurse. I mean it's pretty good talk but no seducing...
