Sad visit

After learning that they have stopped their daytime hours, I was in town for work and drove out to Silk for an evening visit. Arrived at 8, parked in the lot (i noticed a guy sitting in a car by the entrance watching the lot. I assume this is because there was broken glass on the ground throughout the lot. They've probably had issues so it was nice to have someone watching) paid a 10-buck cover and was wanded down by a gruff security guy. It was about an hour after they opened and they had one pole on their big stage running. There was a decent looking girl lazily swirling around it while five or so other guys ignored her from the bar. I grabbed a beer for $3. It was apparently happy hour until 10, but everything else was just sad. I stayed for an hour and went to the stage to tip the girls. Saw 7 or 8 rotate through three song sets, topless only. There was a mix of white and black girls, all pretty average looking and average in dancing enthusiasm. Towards the end a Latina girl I recognized from my past day shift visits came out. I tipped her and then asked if she would be up for a dance. They had a 3 for 60 special since it was Tuesday, so I did that. Usual Silk dances. Hands on the couch and a bouncer watching like a hawk. Funny that 3 for 60 is billed as a special as these dances are not worth more than 20 on any day. The dancer was friendly but said she was bummed about the end of the dayshift as she had made most of her income with regulars who can't come in at night. After the dances I took off. Don't know if I'll come back. The club still has potential, but you can tell that it is worn down. Spots on the stage that are in disrepair and just kind of grimy. I'm giessingf Silk is focusing on their downtown clubs, but I've heard those are even more expensive and parking is a mess. Too bad. This is a good spot and was a nice facility before they let it get run down.
