This place seems different, and not for the better...

It's been a hot minute since I made my way back to Players Club. My last few visits were uneventful and the dancers off, so I took a break for a while. I visited on Sunday, and I got there about 20 minutes after they opened at 11:00. They are one of the only clubs in Denver that open early on the weekends. It is off Federal in a dingy party of town.

As mentioned in other reviews, the place is small with low ceilings, with the large bar taking up about half the space immediately on your right as you walk in. Cover was $5.00 and beer is $10.00. I found out that they also serve Voss in a smaller bottle for $7.00. The lap dance area is a strange little room to the right of the bathrooms, and consists of six mini "booths" - basically a long couch with dividers. No one really "dances" on a stage in this place, as I've only seen that happening when the place is filled with mongers. During the day, they are mostly hustling dances.

While I cannot say that I had a great time, I was surprised at how much things have changed in just a few months. It is still dominated by Cuban women in all shapes and sizes, but it was definitely an off visit. The girls are usually 6-7, with the occasional 8 or 9. On this visit, it was mostly 5-7s and no real hot gals to speak of. All were latin except for two AA gals with big hair.
