Just OK, completely quiet before 10pm it seems
I was not impressed with this place. It is nice enough inside, but my main gripe is how dead it was on an early Saturday evening.
Despite being on 60th St. in the middle of Manhattan, it's on a rather desolate block under a bridge, so it feels mildly unsafe, if that is a problem for you. I visited at 7:30pm and did not pay a cover, which I think might've been due to it being so early. The interior is nice but small, stages on the left and right, dances are towards the back. The bathroom was quite nice which I appreciate.
I walk in and find the place completely empty. No patrons, no dancers, even the bartender was sort of hurrying back to her post from the back kitchen. I understand 7:30pm is early, but it's Saturday, it's not like I visited at 1pm on a Wednesday. Why even open if there's no dancers working hardly? I was in the middle of a busy working Saturday, taking a break, so I stuck to $7 bottles of water, about five of them, just giving a $10 to include tip, so that was $50 just on water, which is kind of funny. A cocktail was $14 (I asked), pretty standard in Manhattan.
