The Grand opened in the summer...

The Grand opened in the summer of 2006. It is destined to become a leading alternative to Teazers (reviewed elsewhere), and is only 2 blocks north of Teazers. The Grand faces Rivonia Road and you can see it from there, but you need to turn east on 10th or 12th Avenues to access it from the smaller, parallel Rivonia Blvd.

The Grand is elegant, upscale, sprawling and large, and is a destination not to be missed in South Africa. The modest cover charge includes a visit to one of the best buffets ever experienced. After that you return to the main dance hall, which has a unique sunken full liquor bar below the round main stage. The dancers, an international group from all over the world, are even more stunning than the architecture. Lap dances at your table are about R200, are nude, with plenty of contact. If that's not enough, there are private booths for an even better experience at R350. You can book you favorite dancer for a full hour for R1200. The staff are extremely hospitable. This club is truly world class. I give it the highest rating of 10 without any worries at all.
