Stopped at the cricket this past Thursday evening. I arrived around 5:30 PM. Parking was free no cover. First time I’ve been in a club in months. Honestly, it was a big reminder that talent has gone downhill month over month in most bars. They had a two beers for nine dollar deal going on, so I figured I’d grab a pair and see what the girls were looking like. I saw under 10 girls in the club. One on stage (dancing 4 songs each) and some others around talking to fellow patrons. In my time there I only saw one girl I was mildly interested in, but she never came over to me. But she did sit down with the guy next to me and when I saw her up close, I was less impressed. In the hour or so I was at the club only one girl came up to me, but she definitely didn’t meet my standards. I know afternoons at clubs can be hit or miss, but things were not looking good. I sat through about 8 to 10 songs just waiting for someone worth looking at before finally cutting my loses. I thought about hitting up another one of the close by clubs, but didn’t feel like taking the risk on more subpar talent. I plan a night time run before deciding if more time away from the scene is in my future.
